Enfold us in your loving embrace
And keep us safe from harm
Wherever we are , Whatever place
Keep us feed and warm
The old ones who have gone before, return to grace our table
Welcome say we, one and all , return if you are able
Guide us, teach us, show us how to walk the sacred way
That we may teach the ones who follow by the words we say.

For Pagans this time is know as Samhain ( sow-en ) and its the first festival that we celebrate. At Samhain the Goddess becomes the Crone or wise one and the God lies in her womb waiting for his time of rebirth at Yule. Samhain is also the Celtic New Year and at this time we believe that the connection between the living and the dead is very strong. During this time we remember , show respect to or ask for guidance from those who have passed over. At this time we honor our ancestors and many leave altar offerings in the form of food and wine in tribute to dead relatives. As Pagans we celebrate death as a part of life. Our celebrations would involve gathering various Items that we would use in our circles. We would either work alone , with a friend or family member or in a coven.
